I always wondered about that myself... It never quite made sense to me. After all, surely people don't only think about driving when they drive, so wouldn't Edward be likely to pick up all these distracting thoughts?

I'm so glad you decided to write this! I must throw in though, that his driving skills probably doesn't have as much to do with the fact that he can read minds as it does with fact that no matter how fast he's going, the world seems to be moving in slow motion. he can analyze every detail in everything around him in a split second. however interesting, I always wanted there to be an incident like this in the book. I loved how quick he was at getting Bella out of the car. I thoroughly enjoyed reading something of yours, as always. more please!
