Why do I see Ranma writing a scathing letter back to Herb about giving him that ring w/o telling him all of its meaning?

hm . i would think kasumi would take the deal instead of nabiki as she is more sacrificing not to mention she has far smaller ambitions in life

id love for their to be an update soon...and maybe you should have herb show up and teach ranma some of his ki tricks. i think that the ki blade would be one of the ones ranma should learn

I do agree that Ranma/Akane stories are too popular. I support the pairing but I can't read them anymore. Also Akane is nowhere as bad as people make her out. Sure she hits Ranma but usually he has it coming. I mean wouldn't you slap me if I said to your face that you were a uncute tomboy that was built like a brick. Well you would either hit me or burst out laughing depending on your personality.

I don't give a fig what "true couple" fans think. It may be true that the relationship isn't as bad as some bashers would have you think, but it is still quite an unhealthy one, I mean who wants to be married to that, a masochist!?

Enough with that & to the point; I think the story is turning out well seeing as Ranma and co are getting some where relationship wise without being utter madness. If you continue to write I will be happy to continue to read!

How about the good; I really like your writing style. It's hard to find a legible fic, that's also a good read.

The... not quite good? This is a heaping helping of Mary Sue (as you know), chased by "Author Knows Best", with a sprinkling of Akane-itis. It's an interesting idea, but as you said, most things aren't that nice and neat.

Even with knowing his mother's motivation, I hardly would think Ranma would stop his two years of protesting, and just toe the line.

Hell, this last scene alone I expected him to get up, disgusted with the preceding, and tell his mother she's as bad as his father.

There are probably more things I can point out, but the fact is, I did enjoy reading the story, and I liked a lot of the things you pointed out (even if it was a bit direct).

I look forward to see how the conflict will arise in this fic, as well as if we'll see if Ranma is still "wild", or finally broken in.

I'm glad to see this story updated again. The earlier chapters have some trouble with extra words and perspective slips (at one point Ranma is referred to with 'me'), but you appear to be improving. I hope that this story has quite a few more chapters to come.

Your author's note is especially true, I feel. I can't stand it when people write a fic where marriage fixes everything for no apparent reason. Sure, it would indicate that somebody finally made a choice or 'won' or something like that. Then all hell would break loose if the other engagements hadn't been taken care of beforehand. Marriage is not the foundation of a solid relationship, rather it must be built from a solid foundation to succeed.

One a side note: did Nabiki use her own or Akane's hanko to sign the marriage document?

not bad, smetimes you have to take the different path in fanfiction to get the good story...

Excellent once agaim, but I hope you realize that Breadwinner!Nabiki is pure fanon. There's not a single indication in the whole series that Nabiki uses the money she makesfor her family. Nodoka seems to be rather intelligent in this fic, so I hope she has made plans to keep Nabiki from running away with her money once Nabiki gets her hands on it.

But then there's Reia. I doubt that she'd let Nabiki do anything harmful to Ranma. In fact, I think that Nabiki is underestimating the problems her marriage will cause. Four headstrong women (Nodoka, Nabiki, shampoo, and Reia) together can't end well.

I'm more a Fan of Ranma getting the most compatible girl given his situation. Akane is there but given the true state at the end of the series. IMHO Nabiki is behind Kasumi in this.

With the two Chinese girls that will put a very different spin here.

Oh and what of Koadachi? Will she and her brother continue to be thorns in the Tendo's & Saotome's belly?
