err...anonymous? 2009-08-11 . chapter 1 Pure sweetness. You just sold me on this pairing.
quick thing though: I think you should have italicized fucking, rather than tell in the following sentence, as it's hard to tell which word you're talking about.
"Don’t fucking--” (this word comes smoother) “--tell me we’re all right and nothing like that will happen, because I am not that stupid! " |
kaelakaelakaela 2009-08-10 . chapter 1Your writing style is beautiful, I felt lovely reading it. I love the play on "Lavender" and "grey"...brilliant! I really really REALLY hope you write more Lavender/Seamus, because this was excellent :) |
xoxcrescentmoonxox 2009-08-06 . chapter 1This is gorgeous. I love the color metaphor, and both your Seamus and Lavender are beautifully characterized. You've managed to say so much about Hogwarts under the Carrows in so few words, and it's wonderful.

 Broken Gold 2009-07-29 . chapter 1That was even better! I loved it! :) |
 qt4good 2009-07-24 . chapter 1Very sweet! :) |
humanthesaurus 2009-07-22 . chapter 1& because of that, I now love Seamus more than anything.

Fantastical Fwooper 2009-07-20 . chapter 1zomg. great pairing. so sweet. i loved it. |
 Moiranne Rose 2009-07-11 . chapter 1I can't believe I haven't reviewed this.
There is something oddly magical about this, and it isn't even because it is a Harry Potter fanfic. It deals with an age-old concept flitting between love conquers all and love conquers -nearly- all. And it deals with it -wonderfully-.
Every single detail of this despairing, saddening fanfic piece is just awesome and painful and beautiful and -perfectperfectperfect-. I want to read it all again, even though I'm not sure if I can stomach the whole thing about Carrow nailing Lavendar's palms to the table again. That part was so gruesomely believable that I went all teary and sad and soft thinking about it.
You deserve more than this superficial little review from someone insignificant and random. But this is all I can give you.
Love and Cookies,

 Update 2009-06-27 . chapter 1So perfect! I love it.
The Irish are awesome... |
bobobubbles 2009-06-12 . chapter 1I love this kind of fanfiction.
First and foremost, it is a romantic oneshot set amid a period of hardship and struggle and pain. Secondly, this fanfiction's pairing surprised me - pleasantly. I'll probably view Lavender in a new light after this, and Seamus was so perfect, even when his mind is weakened through the suffering and pain inflicted by the war. I love the longing and desperation in his thoughts regarding Lavender's fading color. It's poignant and strong.
Thirdly, the whole story is written beautifully. I loved the imagery, I found the description of old, girly Lavender particularly vivid and colourful indeed. I appreciated the realism in the dialogue, the informality in their language is refreshing and endearing.
This story was so heart-felt, like many other ones; however, this one has that special something that will make me remember it among other oneshots. |
Expecting Rain 2009-05-26 . chapter 1I love the Lavender you've created! I always thought she was annoying before, but in your stories she's one of my favorites. |
fairydustandcansofspam 2009-04-20 . chapter 1This was a sweet story. Kind of bittersweet, and I guess a little bit of sweetness was what I needed. Thanks. |
smaginn 2009-04-18 . chapter 1I LOVE IT. JK Rowling didnt explore the depressing hogwarts enough. but i think you managed that brilliantly. this is only the story of two students, yet its brilliantly put together. |
RedCloakedMaiden 2009-04-12 . chapter 1This a beautiful, pogniant and tear-worthy oneshot! Absolutely wonderful work.
Although I can't help but wish that it was Dean/Lavender shipped, especially since Dean is an artist. But that may be because I like Dean and Lavender instead of Seamus and Lavender myself. :) |
sophia666 2009-04-03 . chapter 1I love this- words like ‘sod off, you bloody Irish scoundrel’ and
if you’ll be color I’ll see nothing but you in this world gone grey.
and
His hands frame her face in a way that feels awkward.
I'm hoping you'll write more of this pairing. :) |
