...hm...

Well, I suppose I'm glad I got the first review. Yay me.

The story... well, I really like it up until the very end. It suffers from the same sorts of problems that plague most Yuffentine fics - the whole "she's always so persistent in bugging him and he eventually becomes comfortable around her" thing becomes redundant after a while - but they aren't so much PROBLEMS as they are simply... well, I don't want to use the word "cliche," but perhaps... they're too common, I suppose. Anyway, that's not the point here. Even though it has all of those issues that EVERY Yuffentine fic has, it's still a very well-written story that moves along nicely and gets you interested in the story.

There are a couple hiccups in grammar and verb tense along the way, but those don't detract from the story too much.

The biggest issue is the treatment of Shelke. True, she might not like the little.. girl... woman... mixture, but mentioning Shelke at the very end of the story seems to cheapen Yuffie's character and the strength of her three-year love of Vincent.

It's like reading "Hamlet," and then getting to the end and seeing "And then he woke up and realized it was all just a dream."

"...this ray of hope where there had once been none, put her in such a mood... that not even Shelke could bring her down." Whuh? Shelke plays such a small part in the story, and you decide to end the entire thing by putting her in such a prominent role?

But bah.

So yeah. It was a good story up until the end, where it just sort of falls flat.

Good writing, though. Good luck on whatever else you write. Ciao.
