haha I loved that it had only been three minutes. I feel the strength of his suffering, how he desires her so much that he hates her. have you ever felt that way about something? great stuff.

"I have been fighting this for three minutes now."

Ouch! That one line really brought home how much Edward was affected by Bella when they first met. The drug analogy was very fitting considering how badly Edward wanted her in the books.

Your writing has always been excellent! I am thrilled everytime I see an update by you. Nice character study. Convincing. Hell, your writing far outstrips the actual author and makes a true character out of Edward.

Well, I think it's great! The line saying that he'd been only fighting for three minutes is what makes this piece powerful - the way addiction can make a second stretch an hour and I think you've captued it just fine. The last six lines are definitely my favourite - great piece :)
