Great ending! I could actually see it happening in the anime! The part with Fifi was great too!

Thank you so much for writing the sweet one shot. I loved these characters and was also disappointed by the lack of real baseball from this series.

It is an interesting spin to put on the Ryo and Izumi relationship...their rivalry definitely masks more than we see. Though I am inclined to rather see Koharu Hotta with Ryo, this definitely made up for the lack of shoujo-ai and the lowly manner in which the Kisaragi Girls were portrayed in the last two episodes.

The essence of that scene is nicely carried over in your description of their emotionally exhausted embrace. Kudos for such a great piece.

So is that Yuki in the end watching as Hiroki gets carried off by Fifi? Yuki's story was so down played for such a talented prodigy but the Fifi element made up for it. And Fifi really makes up for it here...couldn't stand that smug jerk.

Unfortunately, I have never heard of "Princess Nine," but thanks to my beloved Elder Master, I was able to understand this sweet one-shot. Apparently, "Princess Nine" is one of her favorites.
