Giggles. Harry can be pretty persistent when he wants to be. I hope they have a happy life together.

I was like WHAT! that's the END? No, I love reading Snarry, and I hate endings. It's maybe a good thing, I need to get back to the present and revise. I must say, I nearly stopped reading half way through the first chapter because it was Harry/Ginny and I don't like straight!Harry, or indeed Harry/anyonebutSeverus. That's not to say I'm brave enough to write a Snarry myself. So, onto the criticism. It's practically plotless, it's just Harry seducing Severus (not that I have any problem with that) and it moves too fast. It's not exactly supposed to be full of plot and description, after all it's 8 chapters long, but it makes you feel more worthwhile after reading if something has a bit more depth and it's not full of speech. I always try and stick to 10 words a chapter, because that's what a chapter is supposed to be; a significant portion of the story and not just a page of . So next time try for some fuller paragraphs, or tweak this one around a bit if you can be arsed. Maybe even get a beta ;)

Severus should know by now that Harry isn't likely to just give up and that when it comes to love he never jokes. It wasn't very brave of him to run away, but I'm glad Harry understood (and gave chase xD.) I hope that Severus can get over his insecurities and let Harry show him what it is to be loved. Great chapter!!

Interesting dinner date! I suspect Snape is mostly straight, just my guess, but that Harry is driving him nuts anyway. Kissy, kissy!

Neat chapter! Short, but to the point (and Snape does have one about letting people die if you don't like them, given that he watched over Harry even though he didn't care much for the kid as a person).

The relationship is growing nicely twisted, I might add.

Neat chapter! Both of them were raised by canal rats; it's just that Harry is recognized for being a hero and Gryffindor while Snape is a hero, too, but not recognized for it (and never will be, sigh).

Thanks for updating!

I see Snape is still being treated like dirt for all his services to the Wizarding World. Frankly, I would have left Britain quite some time ago, or gone Muggle. But I'm glad Harry won't put up with it.

It sounds like Ginny has a good idea of why Harry isn't up for things. As for Snape, working under Ministry supervision is probalby driving him mad(der). After all, he must be _grateful_ that he isn't punished any worse after all his sacrifices for the Light. Me, I'd go play Muggle, leave for other parts, and tell the Ministry bye-bye.

Great story!

I am very much enjoying watching Harry slowly but surely slip into Severus' life. He is using the right approach. Severus has lots of reasons not to be trusting and it will take him time to truly believe that Harry is actually interested in him. I cannot wait to read more!

"the accounting clerks -- who had known there were that many shades of respectable grey and, Harry grimaced, unfunny novelty ties?"--huh. I thought the one about the accelerated depreciation of niffers was hilarious. Each to his own, I suppose...

Seriously, this was a very cute chapter (and I, too, have wished for an off button on an infant. I personally recommend peppermint schnapps for teething--oh, I suppose the baby ought to have something, too ).

Anyway, thanks for updating!

After all this time, Harry still eats something that Snape has had plenty of time to meddle with. Ah pity da fool, know what I mean? (ref: old A-Team slang)

I like this story, its slow paced, there is a continued development!
How many years after DH is this timeframe set?
I gather Harry is an Auror, likewise Ron.
It is good to follow Harry, as he slowly realizes that Ginny (and the Weasley family life with the overbearing Molly Weasley) does not enchant him at all, this doesnt make Harry happy.
Of course he loves the Weaslys as his surrogate family and likes to visit them, but his desires are something else. People change...

I never saw Harry together with Ginny longterm, after all she has had a crush on the Boy-who-lived (and NOT on Harry himself) since her childhood.

Harry craves somebody who understands him, what he has been through, someone who likes him for himself, not for the hero image...

Harry seem to be quite frustrated, you describe that really well (including his disgust at Ginnys smell, her stuff in the bathroom, or the bedroom scene) and over several encounters over weeks and weeks he gets closer to Severus.

Severus attitude towards Harry also slowly changes, they get comfortable with each other and you show us the small steps they take.
Harry starts to show Severus with looks and small gestures that he cares and is attracted to Severus.

This slow development is realistic and interesting to read.

But you describe Harry too much as a typical sloppy, unorganized young man, living alone in a big house.
Remember that he has 16 years of experiance at the Dursleys plus the year living on the run, looking for the Horcruxes, so he knows how to avoid starvation, to shop, clean, cook and take care of a house plus garden (or a tent) in general very well.
He doesnt need a houseelf to stock his cold box or to cook!
Harry is quite capable to look after himself, he had to, because at the Dursleys nobody cared for the child Harry!

I wondered of course how Severus survived...
it ok that you did not tell us from the beginning, the reader finds out together with Harry..
also all the other unpleasentness, like how terrible Severus is treated by other wizards in generall or that his deskjob in the patent office at the MOM is more like a punishment for such an intelligent man who would love to work in a potions research department.
You describe very well how Severus clings to his pride and dignity, squares his shoulders and tries to carry on, keeping his mask in place most of the time to not show the world how hurt, bitter, disapointed and alone he is.

This is so unfair!
This man has suffered so much for Dumbledores "Greater Good", he should be hailed as a hero and get an Order of Merlin, but instead he obviously only escaped Askaban because of Harrys testimony.

Now I am curious how far both of them will go after that nice dinner... and what of the morning after?
Hopefully no regrets, they would be good for each other as friends and more.

To attract more readers (and to perhaps get more reviews ;-) maybe you should include in your summary that this story is a past DH AU, because Severus Snape survieved?
And mention that Harry finds not "all is well" in this seemingly perfect world after LV demise, where everyone expects the Boy-who-killed-You-know-who to become an Auror and to marry his (demanding) perfect girlfriend, to miracously forget all the hardship, grief and sorrow from the war.
