This was a good update! I enjoyed learning how things are progressing!

OK, I know I've asked, and you keep reiterating that Rogue is NOT Marie in this, but I still see this is a Gambit/Rogue fic, and I'm really wondering when Rogue comes into this story. If this isn't going to be a Marie/Gambit fic, then why all the focus on these two and not on Rogue. I still love this story, but I'm starting to hope for a slight change in the characters real soon!

so, when's Rogue showing up?

Well I admit I thought for moment that Rogue was Marie, but then I thought not because of the name and the family relation to Mercy so know could not happen, plus way off base of what Rogue's story is.

But good story, look forward to reading more.

I like it...

I'm enjoying the story so far and particularly like the uniqueness not only of the plot thus far but also the idea of using Mercy as the story's vehicle... I haven't seen that done before and find myself intrigued by what you'll do with it. It would help those of us with a very limited knowledge of French if you could provide some kind of translation for the phrases scattered throughout the dialog as it's left me feeling like I'm probably missing out on some good moments in the story due to not knowing what they are saying.

Marie is certainly a pretty detached and cold person and very different from her sister. It seems to me like part of that is due to her mutation and part of it is by choice. You've done a good job showing us just how isolated and emotionally void she makes herself as well as drawing the differences between the sisters very vividly.

Remy's reactions to her are really interesting. I'm eager to see how you will draw the other characters into the plot and how they will all interact (both the canon and the original characters).

Looking forward to more.
