Beautifully written. A very wary, prickly touch, but a touch nonetheless. You got their voices, and the personalities and experiences that bring those voices out.

As a huge Firefly and New Who fan, I have to say I loved this, and I did! Your portrayal of Zoe, quiet and confident, was really well done and I loved the way the Doctor wanted to have a drink to commemorate his own war as well as hers. And the fact that the Doctor knows her name without her telling is a brilliant twist- does this mean that the Doctor and Zoe have met before, only according to Zoe's timeline the meeting hasn't happened yet? It would be great if you could write more along those lines!
