boojum 2009-10-23 . chapter 6 Please add my small voice to the multitudes hoping for continuation.
I had my doubts for a while about Jeff, but I'm completely won over now. Of course he'd respond to this as a problem to be examined, understood, and resolved, but I was worried that he was losing track of Scott and Scott's needs as he did.
I loved Scott's Jeff/dinosaur/meteor analogy.
I saw on your author's bio page that you had a break in writing in '06, and guess that real life and perhaps a congested schedule are applying pressure once more. Please Don'e take this down, it's too good to be lost. When and if you can, return to it. I'll be watching for it. |

SivanShemesh 2009-07-10 . chapter 5Jeff shouldn't had to threat him like this, started from the mission. |
SivanShemesh 2009-07-10 . chapter 4Gladly that Scott said his words though he kept calling him 'Father' even though to him he is only a voice. But i don't love the way that Jeff threating like this, instead of asking him to stay he is making excuses for who, i don't know, but it doesn't worth to see the pain in Scott.
Great job with the feeling, you played it good with the emotional... thank you for writing it, and i will keep going in reading it. |
SivanShemesh 2009-07-10 . chapter 3Well, Jeff is not acting like he should, when no matter Scott is his son or not, just pushed him aside. Poor Scott, though. |
SivanShemesh 2009-07-10 . chapter 2See, bad point that you stop there, and can i ask why? Wait, don't answer that... grin... i love this cliffy of yours, and can't wait to read the next chapters... grin... see you around. |
SivanShemesh 2009-07-10 . chapter 1Good to see a great Scott's angst fic here, you did a great work with it, by showing how Scott is feeling even though he hid it from his brothers.
Thank you for posting it. Keep up the great work that you are doing with your fic and update is asap, and nope, i haven't done with my reviews yet.
*Hugs*

Little Miss Bump 2009-06-06 . chapter 6I've been absent from FF for a while, hence how I managed to miss almost all of this story so far. *rolls eyes* Typical me.
Anyway, now that I've finally caught up, I want to say well done. Particularly with the final section of this chapter. The brotherly banter and gentle teasing, coupled with the underlying message of love and affection, was truly heart-warming. I loved your portrayal of Virgil. And he seemed to encompass the feelings from the brothers as a whole, acting as a family representative in response to Scott's dilemma - blood relative or not, Scott's still his big brother and nobody's gonne split up the Tracy boys. *sighs happily* Excellent.
Keep up the good work. I'm thoroughly looking forward to the continuation of this story. |
sammygirl1963 2009-05-13 . chapter 6Fantastic chapter my friend. Wow, this just gets more heartbreaking. Poor Scott really just wants the family he's always know, but yet agrees to meet his real parents ebcause he can't deny Jeff getting to meet his real son.
Yay for Virgil. I can't tell you how much he made my day just knowing the way he feels...that no bus driver is going to take away his big brother...the one he's always known and loved. Cant wait to see what Virgil is going to do. I hope the other brothers react as well when they find out.
I so cannot wait for more! |
cathrl 2009-05-07 . chapter 5Well done Jeff. I think that tone of disbelief will do Scott more good than a thousand speeches.
Well-presented scary rescue scene. No happily ever after here, and Scott messing up in TB2 was entirely plausible especially given how distracted he must be right now. Loved the interchange between him and Alan (that must have been horrible for his passenger who can't see what's going on).
I'd have liked to see a bit more about how they actually rescued the people in the tunnel - I'm a bit confused about what IR were going to do and why they were needed to buy time, given that everyone waited and did nothing while TB2 arrived and the automatic systems were still working. And how did Scott manage to break the pod release mechanism and still drop the pod as required?
Absolute favourite bit? That switch from Jeff saying mediocrity isn't good enough to the other family being described as mediocre. I could just see the wheels going round in Scott's head...
Much enjoying this. |
lissysue85 2009-05-03 . chapter 5Wow what a brilliant chapter but oh that last bit was so sad. I really want to give Scott a hug now. What an awful situation to be in. Please update soon. |
TangoBravoZulu 2009-05-02 . chapter 5Finally Jeff's woken up. I was in tears at the end of this chapter. Poor Scott all he wants is his family, the one he grew up with. It would be horrible to have this happen for real. But at least Jeff has finally, finally acknowledged that Scott IS his son despite the lack of a biological link.
I have to say reading this story has been difficult... but you've written it well.
