Genkai Lady 2009-04-12 . chapter 1This is honestly how I feel the 6x9 relationship is. However, I don't think Noin is as aware of that as she is in this fic. When she insists that she won't repeat herself and will follow him, to me it didn't sound like the passionate admission of a lover. It sounded like someone who had become a prisoner of their own denial too far long ago to ever go back now.
It's for that precise reason, her own self-imposed imprisonment, that I can see her holding him blameless. After all, she must assign herself to someone strong and important and handsome so she is loved, and anything bad that happens must be because she isn't loving him enough.
It sounds so much like an abusive relationship... |
Tenchi Heiyanna 2009-04-06 . chapter 1I like this, although it did feel like a preface more then a One shot. As always great job Omni-san, I look forward to what else you come up with.
Until then ^-^ |
karina001 2009-04-05 . chapter 1Wow. Nice change of temper for Noin, but maybe bot of them should see it from ZEchs' pojnt of view. He'd know exactly why she was there and it sure as hell would have killed any chance of a 'real' relationship. Sure you don't want to explore the many possibilities? |
Purdy 2009-04-05 . chapter 1Oh Omnicat. Its fics like these that I would write if I had the time. I love everything about this story! Such a fresh interpretation of 6xN. And I loved the friendship you carved out of Noin and Sally. Sally especially is very very well written and I find its very rare for me to be interested w/ her character. I just can never pull anything out of her...I love the mention of her having a physical relationship w/ someone from work--I always thought finding someone like that, be it romantic or not, and never saw anything romantic b/t her and Wufei.
And I believe your pessimism of zechs and Noin's relationship is incredibly well founded. Though its very easy to see their relatioship work out, for me its just as easy to see it another way. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it that way too.
A very poignant and honest piece. Brava. |
