I sorta gave my imagination free rein on this and finally decided Greg
was a reporter.

He apparently had just finished an interview with Don in prison and was
preparing to write his story, Don's "crime" having done something against
the law but something needing to be done for the greater good.

Interesting to say the least. Any chance you might expand this one?
