I know the review is about ten years too late but back during UC Undercover's short run this was my favorite story around. Then sadly i lost track of the story and thankfully i was able to find it again today and re read it. Amazing and still the wonderful story i remembered from all those years ago. But i still love Jake Shaw whom you included in the story so well. Sarah

Fabulous story - one of the best UC ones I've read, though I'm coming very late to the party. Your Saran is a bit weedy, but the sex scenes are brilliantly written, and you have the rest of the team spot on, especially Monica and Cody. Great dialogue. Thank you for writing this for us.

As for the "youngster" comment, I don't want to be seen to be splitting hairs, but it's Oded that's 31. Frank CANNOT possibly be that young, it's not logistical. He was with the FBI CNU for 6 years, in a senior position - from the age of 25? I don't think so! And there was stuff he did before that...?

Nope Donovan is older than 31 of that I am absolutely certain, and 40 might be closer than you think.

I LOVE THIS! The prose is well-written and lyrical, the characters are 3-D and interesting. OK, the heroine is a little too beaten-down by life... She reminds me of a flower that's been stepped on one too many times and is struggling to put new shoots up through the earth. This isn't a criticism - cringing heroines are not my cup of tea, that's all. I've been reading romances for 20 years - I think I've just gotten my fill of that type of gal.

However... Eirian writes so well, and so vividly, that I don't give a damn about anything other than reading onward toward the inevitable - and too soon - end. Write more! Write faster!
