Hmm... I'm not quite sure if I like this one. I think part of what appealed to me about the whole Daine/Numair romance was that they were both of equal social standings (roughly), and as romantic as a prince & the pauper story is, I just like the equality in their relationship. Maybe it's just the lack of awkwardness, that I always imagined along with those stories.

Anyway, apologies for a long-winded review, I have an (extremely annoying) tendency to waffle on.

A great drabble, as ever, even if I'm not too sure about it. :)

A brilliant take on Numair's character - I kinda always hoped that he would have this kind of remorse. (It's mean of me, I know! But still.)

Your endings are always just so WOW! Also, some very nice starts. :)
