This may be only the prologue, but it is very good. Normally I don't read angst, because it puts me in a bad mood. Yet with this story I have a need to know more and thats a first for angst. It was better than I expected, but then again, all of your stories are amazing.

love this story. so its not set in persent time but when the civil war right? i love when an author writes stories about twilight but with not the tipical love settings like bella and jasper or carliles, i havenlt read any with emmett and bella.

Well that certainly tugged on my heartstrings! I have such a love/hate relationship with angst, and I've got the feeling that this fic will likely get me tearing up.

I knew it was civil war era. I like the idea of all the characters in Jasper's time. I'm excited to see where you go with this.

This was a wonderful start! I actually really enjoy Jasper/Bella stories so I'm really intrigued. Not that I expect it's going to be all perfect for them. I like the research you did as well. Most of the conferate soldiers did think it would only be about a month before they were back home. Nice addition there! I can't wait to read more of this. Really well done!

I loved it. Jasper is so awesome. Please let Edward be a soldier in the army too! Wars fanfic are rarely written right.
