As with the previous chapter, I was expecting a 10-pace showdown, but I can appreciate this quiet sort of end. This story certainly is not Turk light, in any sense of the word. I think you did a phenomenal job with the premise, even though some might be expecting a lot of flashy, sharp, and shiny things. Turks... what it means to be one, you explored that in your own way. I know exactly what you mean by writing what you watch play out in your head, so I can believe that this one wrote itself - caught me unaware several times.

Lastly, thank you for the dedication. I'm glad to be able to lend some support where I can and when it's due. Keep writing, Spiegel.

Does it seem wrong to say I thought Reno was sweet for this? There's an attachment I always seem to have to reading the redhead and blonde on the same page. I think it's that love/hate thing.

There's an interesting subtleness in your writing. It's like something happens and you go, "Woah. ...What? No." And then you read again and realize it did go down that way. I don't know if anybody else knows what I'm talking about, but that's how I see it. ^^; And I definitely was off guard for this, almost waiting for the 10-pace draw.

I like how very Turk Elena still is. Out of the trio, you'd expect most people to always get the sense she was somehow less than -just- because of being the youngest, the Rookie, or even being a woman. But even if she has her moments, the job is in her blood like any other blue suit.

Clever detail with Reno's signature, I'm almost tempted to come up with something for my own. XD
