So I finished season 8 last night and had to get a start on the miniseries this morning. I think you are doing a great job with the writing and hope you continue. I think the best thing so far was the image of Nicholas with his grandfathers bow tie around his head so cute!

I think Rory needs some series advice or a good heart to heart. It would be nice if it could be with someone a bit unexpected. It doesnt have to redeem the person (ie Chris) or make her re-evaluate her life (an ex bf or Marty) but it would be a nice way to rework one of them back into the show.

I think you should consider Lorelai having another baby (or if she is too old in your story) or some sort of crazy menopause drama for her. I love L&L so any drama with them could be fun to read.

The whole Max scenario is just hilarious, by the way!
Good to see that the Townies haven't changed, still sticking their noses where they don't belong and stirring the pot for their own twisted ends.
Kind of feel sorry Nate, all set to propose, only to have everything crumble before his moment can arrive. I'm amazed (but not really surprised) by how selfish and immature Rory is acting. Must of been all that time spent around Logan, huh?
All in all, I'm liking this fic and can hardly wait for the next installment.

What a hefty chapter. I'm sad that the Times isn't renewing Rory's contract and that she and Nate had their big blow-up. It sucks with the whole proposal thing that would have happened. I really do hope that everything can get resolved soon.

This chapter was really suspenseful and I was glad to see an explanation for most of it by the end, but then you had to go and open up a new can of worms! I'm glad you did, though. I love the mini-series. I've missed Nate and Nicholas and Luke and Lorelai. Well, I really didn't see the argument between Nate and Rory coming - especially with her wanting to move out of their place. Poor Nate! I really hope that they don't take too long to resolve this.

Thanks for the update. I'm not sure what to think of Max. When he really was asking for Lorelai's approval then poor Eliza... and he so should've told her before.

I'm also not sure what to think of Rory. It seems she's going backwards... Did she think about that getting a job through connections is better than not getting one at all? If she'd be bad in what she's doing they wouldn't keep her anyway - that would be bad, keeping it when you suck because of connections... I mean she wouldn't starve anyway because of her family, but jobless she'd depend on them again, and that isn't better either...
Too bad we didn't witness Emily and Richard leave, I wonder if they said more than Goodbye or if they didn't see her at all. I really like Rose though. And poor Nate.

Like all the little appearances as Jackson, Babette and Patty.

I also like that Emily and Richard were in this "chapter", but I really hope for some more Emily/Lorelai action. Maybe even some drama?

The Max thing? Lorelai handled that very well... I'm proud of her.
And, actually giving him the advice to go after Eliza... I was awing when I read that, because I'm sure she wanted Luke to do the same back then...

Rory... oh, Rory. First I thought she was hesitating to look for a new job because of suspicions on being pregnant. Don't know why I had that feeling, it just came up. Well, obviously not.
I hope she and Nate are able to figure it out. Because, I honestly can't understand Rory's reasoning either...

Not much Nicholas action. I loved the scene at the party with Lorelai trying to clean him up, though :)
