That was brilliant!! Very well written.

I enjoyed this so much! The wealth of detail really grounds the story, and makes the romance seem that much more real. I liked the two of them experimenting with ingredients, and Snape's natural, slightly ruthless instincts proving to be unsettlingly good with the potion, and utterly hopeless with her. The ending was pure sweetness. I'm glad that she recognizes that he's willing to make himself vulnerable for her, and that he probably knows how ridiculous he must seem, but just silently follows her anyway. Yay! I'm a total sucker for this pairing -- I enjoy the way you write it. Thanks :)

Honest, my bias is getting in the way. I liked your other one shot better, because if I got the feeling from Snape's memories that final was final, that while Snape might have approached her, Lily would have stood firm. For weird reasons that other one-shot did not raise my hackles, but this...maybe I'm in a mood. The characters you've molded stand in their own right, rather than the canon ones, distorted by my impression.
