Reviews for Code Geass Megiddo
dzk87 3/2/13 . chapter 20
t comes from Stage 16 (the final Mao episode): when Lelouch casts his "Never speak again!" command on Mao, the latter just has enough time to turn around and say "No!" before the Geass "reaches" him and goes into effect.

Or this could be him saying "No" because he realizes he is about to be Geassed... Nobody remembers if they were under Geass, or the command itself, so I would actually assume you can't miss it, the second you activate, the person is struck, and the only variable is the command.

so many variables, so well written!

Wow suzaku has lost it lol reminds me of episode 19 when lelouch figured out suzaku was the one piloting the Lancelot and lelouchs crazed laughter. They both have a lot more in common then either would like to admit

I guess the shinobi corps are supposed to be badass, but since they can't even find out that Rikichi is a traitor, they don't really impress me.

Wow. I read this whole thing a few days ago, and I'm really impressed. I absolutely loved the military take on code geass, especially with all the cameos. Having Halsey and Spruance on the Black Knights side... brilliant. And Montgomery making a hash in the EU, sounds like him. I'm really interested to see how the black knights will deal with China, their first large scale, long operation.
I also really liked the way you handled the stuff between Lelouch and Kallen. So many writers like writing melodramatic, over the top romance. This low key, real developments in their relationship is written really well.
Hope to read more soon.

Very good

Honestly I don't even intend to watch the spinoffs, no Lelouch, no interest.

Code Geass IS Lelouch.

Anyway, it's quite amusing to see Lelouch actually in a tight spot with words, only for Kallen to save him. xD

As for Rikichi, truly, he's going to be one thorn in Lelouch's side to deal with.
Century Exai 1/20/13 . chapter 15
This story definitely remains my kind of thing, especially with how much I disliked how R2 went, long chapters are something I appreciate as well over short but much more numerous chapters.

Review for chapter 16, but done on this one since I apparently already reviewed it quite a while ago when I first read that far quite a while ago.

Great chapter, but Lelouch's comments about the Middle east did come across as xenophobic. Islam has committed acts of violence, but there have been times when it's rule over non muslims was quite tolerant (the moors in spain, the early part of the ottomon empire, which allowed Jewish refuges, Saladin) and civilized (again, it certainly wasn't equal to today's standards but it was extremely tolerant compared to certain areas of Europe). Just wanted to give the heads up, in case some other middle east readers take offense

Good,s story but will you Update Mobile suit Gundam:Alpha soon?that One is your Best story.
Pirate King Ray 12/28/12 . chapter 5
I like this chapter, mostly for what you did with Alfred. In the original show he's a racist arrogant jerk who gets wiped out and killed by Kallen. Alfred the broken warrior who is still conflicted about his new role is more interesting and relatable than alfred the racist dirtbag

With the whole Euros hating Japanese thing, I compared it to the Americans hating Hispanics here in Arizona. There are lots of cartel type events happening on the border which leads those living south of the border to want to head north for a new life in America. However, the recession brought on by the Iraq War only raises taxes for American citizens and with more and more Hispanics coming in and taking jobs, it only leads to hate against those not born and raised in America.

It may be a similar situation in the E.U. however, they enhanced the level of racism and hatred to the point where it is similar to World War II when America put Japanese-Americans into camps out of fear. To be perfectly honest I am also confused by the fear Europe has for the Japanese as Japan didn't do anything wrong towards Europe, especially during the Oriental Incident. But I guess we'll have to wait for the next episode to discover more about what is truly happening in the E.U.

I must say I'm glad I stumbled upon your fanfic. Being a student of history, I absolutely adore the usage of all World War II generals whether from the Soviets, the Third Reich, or wherever. Though I must say the usage of Theodore Roosevelt somewhat confounds me, was he a Britannian nobleman or what? I must also congratulate you upon your magnificent portrayal of Lelouch's complex character both as the Demon King and the Black Prince of Britannia. Further mention must also go to your depiction of Erwin Rommel, especially with how he truly displays why he is, as Patton called him, a "magnificent bastard."

I look forward to seeing more from this story, especially with how fleshed out things seem between the factions.

Great story, hope you continue

So finally we see Kallen. I felt her skill was appropriate in the last chapter. In the show, it was easy to know where she stands in comparison to say, the knights of the round, but your fic still leaves that ambiguous. Not a negative thing, I'm just pointing it out.

Yeah, Rikichi is stupid, but he may be the character ya love to hate. I know you get that a lot from other reviews. I'm not really sure what purpose his character serves though. Even you don't seem to like him.

Kallen's character was immediately established well and I enjoyed the pragmaticism of Urabe.

Schnizel's interactions with Lelouch endears him to us readers, it almost makes me forget he nuked a country (which I didn't feel was totally justified).

The only problem I had with Suzaku's self-pity was that it said he was forced into servitude. Didn't he join the Britannian military voluntarily? It's odd to me that he blames the Black Knights and Zero when it wasn't them that nuked Japan.

The cookie scene was humorous. I actually like how Suzaku dealt with Cecile's presence. It was subtle. I didn't hate him then. Cecile was awkward for me, but meant well.

I thought Kallen would be too self-conscious or embarrassed about the comment to correct C.C.'s boob statement.

I thought the meeting scene was good, but I would like to know if there is an explanation for C.C getting the invitation.

How did you go about craft extra background/personality for Anya and Gino? I'm interested in that. I'm also shocked Gino has the wits to recognize the horror that they commit in the name of good. I should expect it, but Gino in canon was rather aloof, but I don't mean that I dislike him. Haha, and then they mention Lelouch. Still I like the reasonable development here, so I'll eventually see how that evolves. I guess they will join him at some point.

It was always ridiculous how the Black Knights betrayed Zero in the show after a half hour meeting with Schneizel and an easily faked audio recording.

I don't think anyone is fooled by Kallen's true feelings, but your Kallen is done very appropriately. Bravo. I really like the depth of your characters so far. I think that's your strongest attribute.
