I believe this is now one of my most favorite pieces of literature here on FF. Your writing style is so amazing! It goes from solid and stoic, even lyrical at times to hot steamy and lustful. The flow is so unbreaking you would never notice it until the words are being registered in your mind.

It's been quite a while since I've read something that moving. You say it was more psychological than you had intended, but I don't think it would have completely captured the essence of the pairing if it hadn't been.

I've always imagined these two as fighting for dominance. Squall knowing he's the weaker one but still being determined not to give in and let Sephiroth win. I absolutely adore this pairing. And I was growing sick to the teeth of reading Sephiroth/Squall fics where Squall was depicted as the **. Yes, he's the uke of the pairing, but he's too damn proud to just give himself completely to someone like Sephiroth.

A beautiful piece. I adore the Angel references. Very touching.

Definately deserves a place in my favorites list. ^^

Sephiroth/Squall is one of my ... guilty pleasures. XD So it was a joy to find a fic of both of them here. Their fight in the opening is hot damn. XD (I am shallow, that is all.)

This- this is no doubt the best Sephiroth/Squall I've ever read. It nailed exactly what attracted me to this pairing - they are both used to being the victors and neither can afford to lose. A stark contrast to the usual Sephiroth/Cloud. And the beautiful thing is, it's not completely random either. I don't think I was able to get all the subtle implications because there were so many. Like, how Squal could have, should have hated the image of 'angel Sephiroth' because angels in general never answered to his wish of getting Ellone back; how that Blaise Pascal's quote perfectly described Sephiroth in this story. And the ending, it's absolutely brilliant. Sephiroth's hatred towards Squall, for never ever falling apart (unlike himself?) but in between those dominating kisses there was a single tender one that really got me curious as to what he really felt about Squall at the time. Or maybe that kiss was but the metaphoric white feathers Squall saw in his delusion? XD

All in all, you have my sincere applause for accomplishing such a beautiful, meaningful piece. Proof that Sephiroth/Squall is not simply eye-candy pairing and can be written extremely well! :D
