And here it is: The Fic that made me a Scaper and a S/Zhipper. Words fail me in trying to describe this peice. I've read it a dozen times, and I get a lump in my throat every time. A perfect, perfect description of the Stark/Zhaan relationship, leaden with gorgeous imagry and heart-breaking reminders of where it ends up. And yet there's something still hopefull about him on Talyn, awake in the night, just listening.

I'd love to add this to my S/Z C2, but the lovely puritans who run this site won't alow fics in C2's above a certain raiting. *sighs*

oh wow...this is just beautiful. poor, poor demented stark, and the peace he was able to find with zhaan. *sniff* this was a truly amazing look into that part of their relationship, and it was written very well. Nice flow, easy to follow. Good fic! I have to point out my favourite paragraph, though:

"Through her vision, he saw Scorpius as no more than a small man, waving a tiny fist against the universe, and he laughed aloud as the little Scorpy squeaked and fumed. He saw Crais through her eyes, a distant figure, still with the heading "enemy," but only just. The others aboard the ship were musical notes to her. Strong melodic Aeryn. A rumble and burst of thunder for D'Argo. Chiana was a piping tune gradually growing into form. A wheezy strain underscored with soft tones held Rygel's face. Crichton was an instrument he'd never heard, out of place with the rest, but just as vibrant. Pilot and Moya were intermingled: soft, low, soothing strings. "

I just wanted to say THANKS! I've been looking

elsewhere on the net for Farscape fic in general

and S/Z fic in specific, and was just not finding

quite what I was looking for... I was beginning to

think that if I wanted to see Stark done right, I'd

have to write him myself! Then I read this and

immediately felt a vast load of frustration

easing out of my soul. It's beautifully written,

beautifully characterized, and just exactly what

I was looking for. You rule!

This is truly excellent. Zhaan's departure from the show was a big loss - it would have been very interesting to see her relationship with Stark develop. I didn't rate Stark when he first appeared but the more I see and learn of him, the more I like him. Zhann would not have cared for him so deeply if he was just an airhead - your fic helps shed some light on why he is the way he is and the great suffering he must have endured. Zhaan was right!

I loved your certain touch, the way you wove Stark and Zhaan without putting a foot or word out of place but creating something so wonderful, such a delight for hand and heart and eye that I long for more.
