As sad as the ending was, it...vindicated the rest.

Your story struck another chord with me, as I've had a similar experience with missing a flight (although it landed safely)so I can strongly relate to Dib's frustration here.

I liked this. I felt frustrated and angry and impatient just from reading it, and I like how you balance out the events.

well written Hmm, Dib's personality seemed to changed some as he got older, which doesn't surprise me. Anyone can turn sour after taking so much from people in his/her childhood. Anyway, I really like how who wrote this. It seems the universe did the opposite for him,instead of doing something bad to him, it actually saved his life, which I'm very glad of. The IZ universe needs him for his heroic work.

Ooh wow. I didn't expect that ending! I love the story, well written, and it shows Dib's frustration so well. The ending was sad yet satisfying, because you know there's a reason he didn't get on that plane. I feel badly for those on the plane. But these things happen, and Dib being saved just goes to show that the world needs him. He's meant to be there. BRAVO. *applause*

If your main goal was to capture the frustration of a typical IZ episode, you definitely succeeded. It’s missing the humor and overall weirdness, though. Like, “I’m sorry but I’ll have to confiscate your retinas.” I know that example was from season 2, but you get the idea. Actually I love a lot of the season 2 episodes, but there were some duds too, like Taster of Pork and Walk for Your Lives (what the hell were they smoking when they made those episodes?). Er, sorry, I’m rambling.

Say what you will about Rich Guy, but at least he actually listened to his child (even though he could give a crap about anyone else).

If I may make a shameless self-plug, I wrote a sequel to Let’s Die! While it’s not as funny as the first one, it still has a couple of parts that you’ll like (they fit with your usual fanfic themes).

in the end Dib was rather lucky, hate it when crazy brats and old people start raving.

Hmm. Typical for Dib--he always has just enough luck to stay alive, albeit in a horribly annoying way. ;-)

...morbid, but in it's own way, it sorta is a lesson learned for Dib. Ultimately, the universe works out as it should...though it seems to be out to beat the crap out of Dib every chance it gets. He's like a "Charlie Brown". His name just came up in the Universe's "List of People To Systematically Break Down". XD
