i must admit, i THOUGHT i was going to be crying during the last chapter, especially after chapter 19...but this ending just made me smile! =)

Ah. So exile turned out to be a death sentence anyway, and would have been even if they'd gone back as soon as they could. I'm sure Snape blames himself, and wishes Hermione did not have to share his punishment for daring to save the Wizarding World.

Yes, they _are_ freer and happier the way they are. The Wizarding World is a small community, where one mistake brands you for life, as Severus well knows. I'm just glad that Hermione knows it too.

I hope their children aren't penalized while at Hogwarts for it, though. McGonagall can hold a grudge till it squeaks.

Ha! Well, they had better christen the shop the right way--and if they use up a little champagne in the process, so much the better.

A perfume shop would be grand. And if some of that perfume was a little more _effective_ than others, then hey, good for the profit margin!

Hah! Ron didn't take long to find someone new, no surprise there. But I suspect Hermione is going to teach Snape that he _can_ be loved, and rather successfully too. She's always been an overachiever. And besides, given just how stubborn Snape is, if he can love her it will be forever.

Here's hoping someone remembered Muggle methods of birth control...

Good chapter, and bravo for Dudley! Admitting he needed help must have been horrific for him. Well--Hermione probably won't have money problems even if they have to sell the McMansion. A lot of Snape's proper work can be done wandless, I suspect. And Hermione does need him around, just like he needs her.

A baby-blue Aston Mini--my, that is a cute car! Amazing they all fit in it, actually. And yes, Hermione is babbling. I'm really glad that Dudders is there, and that Snape and Hermione have each other to hold on to.

And yet, and yet--Snape was raised in the Muggle world. Maybe he can bear to be in it and without most magic as long as Tobias Snape isn't part of the picture. Besides, how much of potions work actually involves a wand? If he can't do wandless magic, once recovered, I'll eat my socks. Hermione--yes, she'll grieve, but most modern technology is not alien to her.

And maybe Snape can teach her how to fly.

Hermione must be condemned, obviously; the Trio must be broken up and Harry Potter must learn his place. Snape has to go as well; he knows how many people in the Ministry were under the Imperius and how many were real collaborators or actual DE's still holding office, and obviously, _that_ voice must be silenced. Ron is clearly pinning his hopes on removing himself as a target and letting being a Weasley protect him; after all, Percy's star is on the rise now, and perhaps he's being treated better because of it.
