Great ending, even if it wasn't what you envisioned it to be originally. I like this explanation of Sara going back - it makes sense.

Loved the emails from brass to grissom and back. And that line you stole from WP - it really is a very Grissomesque thing to say.

Aw, this was fabulous. I really, really liked this chapter. I love that Brass can be such a teddy bear. And I thought Sara going back to, for lack of better words, "redo" her goodbyes was a great touch. I think that shows how much she cares about her friends. Thank for sharing another wonderful chapter in this great series. Awesome job!

This weirdness of Sara's return was given to viewers with the sole explanation of, "I missed you guys." Like nothing happened. Nothing at all.
This leaves fanfiction writers to go, 'That's it. I'm done,' or to rack them brains for a logical reason for her to leave her new husband in Paris - FRANCE, not Texas (where I was thinking he had to be. I was convinced the 'Sorbonne' was veterinary hospital in Paris, Texas, for animals with, you guessed it, Sore Bones.)
And here is something that makes sense. An explanation I can actually buy.
(Although in this economy could it really be THAT hard to find an out-of-work CSI with good potential? But that's neither here nor there.)
So don't belittle your work on the series. You took on a tough task -- deciphering not just TPTB but TV production people who thought the second Darrin was a stroke of genius and a seamless change that no one noticed.
I enjoyed Brass the best. Loved the email exchanges.
