What a unique and beautiful story! I was wondering why Gil seemed so detached from the conversation with his daughter, but you answered that question obviously since it wasn't him!! Great little story, thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful last story! At first, I thought it was Grissom talking until you wrote, "And all of a sudden this sweaty guy with a beard came marching out of the woods wearing a backpack and a big ugly hat.”

But didn't you hear that WP confirmed that there's going to be a CSI movie in the future, so you can't stop writing. I need someone to write stories of what GSR is doing before the movie hits. :p

I'm not sure if all these tears are from the picture of our geeks having their happy ending, or the fact that this is the last story from your amazing talent...hope you are going to be happy in your new endeavors, and I echo the sentiments of the others when I ask that you leave your fiction online so we can enjoy it again in the future...thanks for giving us such great joy in reading your take on GSR...you'll be greatly missed...

I'm sad to hear that you are retiring. I enjoyed your fics very much and you were definitely one of my favorite writers. I hope you will consider leaving your fics online, because I sometimes go back to read some of the older ones. They make me smile.
