What a great story! You wrote the characters perfectly. It was hilarious and sweet and a little sad all at the same time. I loved every bit of it.

This is amazing and hilarious, and moves along at a fast, funny clip that is perfectly in lock step with the show, while slowing down for those quiet moments of not-quite-awareness that make me love the Barney and Robin shenanigans. That Robin POV is just spot on, especially this:

"It’s gotta be a sign that she’s been hanging out with him too long, that she genuinely feels the vicarious sting of his sartorial tragedy. She probably wouldn’t even know the word ‘sartorial’ existed if it weren’t for Barney. It’s funny, how people change your life in all these little ways."

Also, favourite lines:

“CHILL, MOSBY. I GOT THIS.”

Meanwhile, Barney: “FIRE. I’M ON FIRE. THERE’S FIRE ON ME.”

Aw. That was really nice and very in character. Funny, before it got kinda sad too. That last sentence doesn't make much sense does it?

I love drunk Barney, there's not enough of him to go around. It seemed to me like you really nailed Barney and Robin and Ted and their interactions. I really, really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. ;3

Wow, thanks for totally nailing the characterization. I love Ted waxing poetic about Alaska and Barney rambling on about Robin's date. There are way too many stories on here that are just completely incongruous with the show--your story could actually be part of an episode. I really enjoyed it.

You got everyone's voices down perfectly from Ted being full of himself to Barney going back and fourth on his Robin crush. I love that Robin still doesn't really know what the hell is up, but perhaps her feelings run a little deeper than she thinks.

Giant "Aw!" and not like in that one episode with Blah Blah where she kept making everybody say "Aw." And a big dose of LOLz. You really got the dialogue down. This is my favorite part:

Ted stops singing the praises of Alaska’s state flag (“Eight stars, strewn across a dignified blue backdrop – it’s poetic in its simplicity, really, in a way that a maple leaf can’t—”) and yells, “OH GOD, OH GOD. BARNEY’S ON FIRE.”

So much WIN.
