This little story deserves a review...reminds me of the story from the New Testament Bible. I forget which chapter, but the lame man has waited by the pool of healing for so long and no one helps him in. He wasn't hiding, as this little girl was, but they both required help and after getting help and being healed, both give thanks. She does by helping others. Best way possible. Not as smooth in style as your new work "Memory" and I don't know if it's intentional, but it's a well-intentioned story and worth the read. I'm looking at your profile page, and you've been writing a LOT over a brief period of time-do you ever sleep? I wondered if the style difference was because of more experience, but really there's not much difference in time of composition so I'm thinking they are different kinds of storylettes and you chose to handle them differently.
