I really like the way in which you write Itachi. He has a human side that makes him secretly long for love and comfort.
It's also amusing to see that even in a perfect world he can't lose his pride.XD
The idea of the agreement with Naruto(...the sixth Hokage...)gives reliability to the illusion.

Just a few things though. Itachi calls Shiba 'Shibi' a couple of times during the car journey. Is that a typo, a nickname or Itachi having trouble telling the difference between his daughter and Shino's dad?
Also when Hana says everything is his fault, there's a question mark instead of an exclaimation one.
