I liked the revisions. My only preference is that I preferred it at the end when you only said he spoke levelly. It left a little more to the imagination of what his face might look like at such an instance.

The chamber seems like a very unique and intriguing place. I liked the descriptions surrounding it. I really enjoyed this chapter, it was full of vivid imagery, and it had some really nice character touches.

A good beginning for what should turn out to be a great story. New personalities and flaws, and a very appealing writing style. The lack of mistakes makes me over-excited as always.
And...you put in my favorite. Not only am I thoroughly enjoying your other story, but you're also adding this one, with my favorite character, even if only for a chapter, at odds with it.
