Wonderfully written and great fun to read! I do hope you haven't decided to abandon this completely. It's one of not so many enjoyable Les Mis fics so i will be extremely happy if you continue and I promise to review. Like everyone else has said, this interpretation of Javert is fantastic and I actually think it may be closer to the truth than what I usually see in fics. Please, keep writing :)

Kind of a bizarre thing for a police superior to be asking of Javert. Forget the impropriety, the unprofessionalism, the fact that police inspectors lived nearly hand to mouth, but consumptives need to be quarantined in appropriate houses - sanatoria, hospitals, other places with medical/mursing staff, relative isolation (except from the staff and voluntary visitors) and round the clock supervision. What on earth would Javert do with a consumptive factory girl?

I've got to say, I love Javert's clever qupis and come backs (God bless your canonness, Kelsid) but I don't think he would care if a ** got slapped, maybe if a bunch of unimportant people (I.E workers, beggars not like Bamatabois who wasn't arrested because of his status) start hitting her or something :)
