Great update, so want Micheal to make it up to her and to change her back to the old Maria (although I understand she'll still have her scars).

It'll be nice to see the relationship switched with Maria being the distant closed off one and Micheal being the persisting patient one.

I have to say, this update made my day. I'm so happy with the way you have Michael evolving, and how the tables have turned between he and Maria. As always, I can't wait to read more!

wow has this story really been going on for like 8 years?

That is so sad. Maria lost Michael and she started to drink? Then she met Rath and life seemed to get better, even if she hadn't forgotten Michael. But then, Rath turned into a monster, leading to Maria being unhappy and a victim of domestical abuse. And she drank again, and had affairs with plenty of other guys?

She is really broken. She is right when she says that Michael doesn't know her. And she can't believe him when he tells her that he loves her: she doesn't love herself, how could a man love her? Even worse after he learns what she has done, all the men, Rath...

It's easy to say that love conquers it all, but the fact is that Michael ran away and had a great life, and Maria was left behind just like with her father and she lived hell. How could Michael and Maria move on past that, if they get back together? Because as intense as they are, Maria will throw into Michael's face about him abanding her like her father did and being happy without her, while Michael will throw into her face Rath and the other men, and the drinking.

Really tough situation.
