NAW. I really liked this story, at first I thought it was one about Helga and Arnold's kid and then I was like; OH! Really sweet :)

Wow... that was an awesome insight into Bob and Miriam's characters. I totally didn't get what was going on at first- I thought maybe you made a mistake posting this as a hey arnold fic, lol. But that was seriously amazing. It's so the way I would have pictured them when they were younger. I love the way you paralleled the drinking problem we know Miriam will have in the future by referencing her own parents as alcoholics. And I disagree with the reviewer who didn't like the violence in the end.. Bob was totally in character there. Bob and Miriam aren't particularly the most lovable characters ( in my opinion) so I think it's awesome that you were able to pull this off.

Bob has a sensitive side after all. Nice story.

There really aren't enough Hey Arnold fics that deal with the secondary character histories.

I think it's pretty neat how you put in parallels in behaviors between Bob and Helga.

Bob's latter behavior in committing an assault in front of God and everybody is somewhat unsettling, and should have been red flags for Miriam, but as you also illumiated, Miri's life was far from functional. I smell a venue of escape from her home life in the form of Bob.

I do like how you made Bob human, yes he's trapped by his need to keep a veneer of toughness, but for the girl he pines for, he demonstrates the softer side of his personality. (though a bit tactless, it must be genetic) ;D

Wonderful writing as per your usual, and I always enjoy seeing what you come up with. >;D

Well, it took me a minute to realize the characters, they seemed to fit the roles pretty well until the end. Honestly, the end really ruined it considering that Bob completely turned to violence and Miriam accepted. It really should have been him opening up to her instead of his fist to win her over instead of that. Honestly, I doubt the reality in that. 2/5, because the end really left a bad taste especially the sad resort to violence.
