So now I'm waiting! |
Trinity 2009-04-29 . chapter 1 *jumps you* I love you! Have my babies! Write more and then have my babies! Or better yet, have Haruka have Mamoru's babies! (eventually!) a;fjas;dfjasdj;klasjf I am SO HAPPY!
*coughs* I mean, thank you very much for contributing to the UDDUP fandom, which is in dire need of good fanfiction, or just any fan work, period. This introduction is very well-written, and begs to be explored upon more. Much. much. much. more. MUCH! *offers chocolate cakes*
This is the first time I hear anyone talk about Haruka's vision from her point of view and how it comes to her. It's a very interesting take, and somewhat sad for me to hear because Haruka experiences pain every time it happens. Whether it's psychological or physical pain, either is damaging. She is so brave and mature, although of course she's still got her childish moments. It's not nice of Mamoru to point it out and call her on it, although it might be a case of it-will-hurt-but-you-need-to-hear-it. He is indeed a case of tough love.
I adore Igawa (first name is Ryoutarou, Wiki says). He is so sweet in a dorky way. He also appears to be a bit of a match-maker, and goodness knows we need one since Mamoru is such a butt sometimes toward Haruka. The way you described their relationship in how he treats her is perfect: "a bad cross between a precious protégé and a bratty niece." To him she probably will always be a scrawny if cute little girl, and it will take something drastic to make him notice that she's a woman now. Igawa thought so, too, in chapter 46: "She thinks he's her future husband, but he can only see her as a child," but this was when she was still 12.
I think that everyone is inclined to be a bit indulgent toward Haruka due to her gift, her young age, and the maturity beyond said age resulted from said gift, as well as the fact that she's a girl. She's their "princess," isn't she? Mamoru probably takes it upon himself to be the strict one here, if no one else has the heart to do it. Well, maybe Juliett. I also think that Haruka wants to act mature, not only because she has to thanks to her gift, but also to appear so in Mamoru's eyes (mind-eyes, whatever), while Mamoru just wants her to act her age at least once in a while. There's the clash, yes? They're a hopeless mess, and I love it and can't wait until they work it out.
Some last questions, info, and comments: how old is Haruka now? I hope you'll mention it somewhere in the future chapters. Motorcycle-Guy's name is Dai Ibuki, says Wiki, with Ibuki being his last name. This boy in her vision is indeed cause for worry, since if he's not somebody she knows yet, then he must be someone who affects her life something major for her to see him. If he's the cause for her death then mystery solved (he involves her survival instincts). But even so, what's this about a date? My, my, Mamoru, maybe "something drastic" is already here. *waggles eyebrows* :D |
