Okay on to the review: I really liked the way you described everything such a unique quality to follow along with 300's stylizations and I love how you incorporated subtle historical facts within the story, never stopping from the actual storyline to describe what they were. I love the poetry Stelios used to describe his King and the pardon scene was just so beautiful.

I rarely read fic here anymore, since most of it is crap, but your story looked interesting and I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's well written and wonderfully characterized. I love the whole backstory you gave Stelios, which really fits in nicely with the movie. It gives him a better reason to be eager to die for his king than just being crazy with blood lust. Also, thank you for doing some research on Spartan life-- it makes the story that much more enjoyable to have real, believable details added to it.

And, I have to add just to disagree with the previous commenter, I loved the combination suppressed lust/hero worship you've developed here. Especially when you think that the last thing Stelios did before he died was to grab his hero's arm and say what an honor it was to die beside him. Very nice.

Hating the fact you made Stelios gay. He was one of my favorite characters and why you made him gay is beyond me. Otherwise, great story.
