Great scenes in the restuarant. I was really hooked and could feel the tension and the feelings of everybody. So sad to see Hawkeye and Margaret like this though.

Just read the first four chapters and I look forward to seeing where this is going. I hope they can work out their problems and get back together.

Interesting chapter. Art doesn't sound too bad but she can't stop thinking about Hawkeye. And a long lost friend is showing up. Wonder who? Guess I'll have to wait for the next installment to find out.

Sorry Margaret but I don't agree that it is Hawkeye's fault that you fell in to the arms of a Donald clone :-) Oh dear- looks as if the old Margaret - the army brat is still alive deep down - maybe this is what Hawkeye saw which is why he left. Something strange is going on between these two. Intriguing story.

Hm. Sounds like Margaret's more angry than remourceful here. Do you think Hawkeye, at this long lost friend's urging will attempt reconcilliation since Margaret's still pretty hot under the collar? Even if they don't stay married, it would be nice to see them at least parting as friends and ot have a messy divorce.

Very good insight into a guilty man's thoughts. I like the switching point of view on the same subjects. Guess that shows they're not so different after all.

Waiting for the next chapter when Margaret has her own "fall from grace".

Oy. The angst is killing me! And yet there's something about it that makes it such fascinating reading. This is really one of the best fics you've written, as of yet, anyway. I'm sure your next story will out-do this one, too. Even though it's depressing, you just capture the characters so well. Margaret's stubborn refusal to give in to her emotions, Hawkeye's almost terminal fear of commitment. You know them both very well. I am perpetually amazed at your insight.

Anyway, I eagerly look forward to the next chapter. I'm curious to know who Margaret spent her evening with.

Poor Belinda but at least Hawkeye was honest with her in the end. She must feel really used though and I bet it will be a long time before she trusts a man again - especially one as good looking as him :)
So why did the laughter stop between Hawkeye and Margaret because it sure seems like they still love each other.

Oh wow, what a way to capture Hawkeye's remource and his feelings that he still has for margaret, even though he is the one who asked for the divorce. If the divorce isn't final, do they have hope of stoping it, especially if both parties regret their actions in the arms of another person? Boy was Belinda mad! Love your lead in that hints Margaret's chapter is coming next!

Ohh, what's on Margaret's mind?? :D
Can't believe Hawk's date left him, you don't see that everyday with Hawkeye Pierce! LOL

You captured Margaret's insecurities so well and this is exactly how I can imagine things could well have turned out for them if they had gotten married. She was always too insecure for him and although she was a strong woman he was too wild for her. So sad when two people love each other so much and yet they are not suited. I still hope they work something out though.
Beautiful writing.

Another good chapter. I like how you have presented each side of the same story. While I always thought that Hawkeye and Margaret would get together after the war, I also thought that it probably wouldn't last.

Looking forward to what happenes next.
