I don't know about it being J/C or not, but it was a nice drabble. Thanks for sharing. :)

I just finished reading the Full Circle, the latest Voyager book, so this little drabble just about brought me to tears. You summed up everything that is so good about the J/C relationship.

And in answer to your words I say.
Understanding is something special between people,
Wheter they know each other for years or they just meet.
Sometimes you don’t need words.
Sometimes words are too much.
And a look in the eye can say everything.
She did that to me.
And I to her….
I’ve painted legends.
Beyond words.
We understood.
More than basic values.
Eventually all that counted was beyond measure.
A look, a smile, a thought.

How can I not think of her?
Every day?
That’s what love is all about.

Well done! As one reviewer said, you pack a lot into a few words. I say this could be the words/thoughts of either. I also say it could be either that one has died (after a long, fulfilling life together, of course) or one is not there (which makes me think KJ alone and Chak of with, well, not going there... I vote for one dead after a long life together. My only disappointment with this was, being excitedly expectant upon seeing a notice of a new story by you, it was so short. Hope to see a nice long story from you soon!

You pack a lot of feelings into very few words. Nicely done. I say it's Chak. There's a "soft edge" to it that feels (to me) very Native American, particularly the final line. I always believed Chakotay was more in love with Janeway than she was with him.
