So, Snakes, I was wondering...when are gonna update?

I am one of the many FF lurkers who is constantly on the out to find a really good stories and liking Bridge to Terabithia a whole lot, I stumbled on your stories and haven't looked back.

Myself, as I'm sure as well as a lot of people felt that 'A Life Rescued' ending was kind of rushed so I was very happy when I stumbled onto this sort-of interlude.

To be honest, I kind of didn't like Grace in ALR part of it was because of the way the connection with her and Jesse seemed to be much more charged than his connection with Leslie but I have really grown to like her as 'Bowing out Gracefully' has progressed even reaching the point where I was quite saddened that her and Jesse weren't going to work out.

I really liked how the characters fully delved into their passions instead of always skirting round as they previously did and the way that they realised what their bond was exactly.

I found the concluding sentence in chapter 13 very poignant as it seemed to kind-of draw Jesse's whole 'thing' with Grace to a well concluded end and did not leave without a sense of closure as it did with Karin. Jesse realising that after fully delving into his physical desires with Grace that it wasn't going to work out was heart-breaking as well as fulfilling as they did not have to go through as much pain as they would have if they did actually try the relationship thing.

I really like chapter 14, as I was seriously wondering who would end up with Grace as the story progressed but I'm guessing that Branch may not be the final ending. The reminder of 'Why can't we be friends?' from the movie scene, I thought was very touching and I can't wait for when they'll meet again and hopefully be more than friends.

No! Its just wrong that this story would end up so fast. I want 25 chapters! But seeing you're the author, I can just "want" and wait for the inevitable to come.

I have not written any reviews for a while, mostly because I've been busy. But I'm here, and still loving the story. This chapter was quite.. interesting. ;)

I have not been religious in writing reviews for each chapter, but I must say I've been eagerly anticipating each and every chapter of your fic. And everytime I get an email notification of an update, I get excited! For one, I'm very much a fan of Grace. Secondly, I'm very much a fan of your earlier fic, _A Life Rescued_, and reading a follow-up story was an exciting proposition, even if I already know the ending. As they say--it's not the destination that matters, but the journey.

This is indeed an excellent climax to the story (in more than one sense of the word). It's perhaps the part I've been waiting for the most. Thirteen chapters and they finally get to this point. Probably everyone has had an inkling that this would eventually happen. And most readers probably know what will ultimately happen in the end. But what happens next (probably in chapter 14?) will hopefully be able to fill in important details, too.

Personally, I don't think Grace and Jesse are totally incompatible. Different, yes, but sometimes differences make a great way of bringing people together. And for some reason, I've always thought of Grace and Jesse to be a good match--perhaps only overshadowed by the fact that Jesse and Leslie are meant to be (it's in the stars!). Or maybe it's simply because both want each other so badly, but both had been holding back for their own reasons.

Now that they've reached this point, it does make sense that both Jesse and Grace have to decide what happens next. I do feel quite saddened, though, with Grace's decision to leave after her lease expires. I'm still hoping she would stay. Or is it time for her to bow out gracefully, as the title implies?

Great writing as usual, Rick! Some minor things could need fixing, like missing words, some misspellings, but nothing big. Thanks for taking the time to continue, even with your busy schedule. I know I myself owe FF dot net a lot of new chapters and updates.
