Dragongirl Jun 6/23/11 . chapter 1hmm... Actually in such a group(kind of we do lots of different stuff and are together. Three hours or so which include a meal, an hour of 'choice' time, and an hour of 'have to join' time. Its nice and while some do not always join us... mostly they do... so... O_O maybe your group met too often mine only meets like once every third week. Which is perfect. |
SavitarTheSurfingGod 4/10/11 . chapter 1Hmmm i imagine that if i actually ever went to those things i would probably ramble about dogs or whatever animal or medical condition or random fact/object/thing/peoples/part of history i was obsessing about that week until i finally realized that the people staring at me were not in fact interested in what i had to say but seemed to be glaring and sighing while subtly trying to get away. Then i would probably blush, stutter, stare at my feet and go sulk and stare blankly at the wall in a corner until the food table got cleared of people and i had the courage to go get me some comfort food so i could get over that sadly common social embarrassment. Oh and i would probably be chewing my nails, cuticles, shirt, or well anything i could fit in my mouth unconsciously the entire time. (my poor shirts first time i manage to stop chewing my nails and fingers up i realize all my t-shirts look like rats have been chewing them. I actually thought they had been until my mom caught me chewing on my shirt and pointed it out to me. That and apparently having nails is hazardous to my health as i kept waking up with bloody scratches all over my face.) Ack sorry for the ramble and probable TMI in this review loved the story it was amusing.
Also bowling those alley's are too loud and open they freak me out the only time i enjoyed bowling was when i was 14 and my sister ordered a rum and coke which i would take drinks of when she went up to bowl none of her friends told her what i was doing though there was no way they couldn't have seen. Also i have the same problem with any small object in front of me i find myself picking them up and messing with them without even realizing it or staring at the object as it was the most interesting thing in the world. I and my step brother were once kept busy and completely absorbed in a ball of silly putty for 3 hours 26 minutes during a vacation which involved i 6 hour drive, without realizing more than 10 minutes had passed and the only reason we stopped playing with it and realized how much time had passed was because we stopped for a bathroom break and my mom had times us i was 12 he was 15 at the time. dangit went off again oh well heh i usually also end up putting the object i don't realize i am playing with in my mouth at some point i can't tell you how many times i have done that only to spit it out yelling ewww alot of times it's because I've stuck an old penny or coin in my mouth or some other really dirty object bleh. Hmmm how many times have you had exploded pen ink all over you? When mine explodes i usually get ink in my mouth as i was sucking and chewing on it ink doesn't taste good nor does wood and lead but gel pens taste even worse. Okay am stopping now. |
Aviva 4/1/11 . chapter 1 I'm not sure you really *explain* what AS is. I have it, as well, and only would have realized what this was about due to the title. |
daisymall13 12/8/10 . chapter 1 As an Aspie, I sat here and smiled. Good job. |
Kitty-Chan UchiNaru no Miko 5/15/10 . chapter 1*snickers* Star Fleet WOULD have a lot of Aspies other autistics running around, wouldn't they? Really, about the only social thing you can get most of us to do is go to anime clubs convention. Like half of Kent State Stark's Club Sunaarashi has it, diagnosed or otherwise.
When we formed the club, I tried to convince the others to try to promote education of the issue in club to lessen the inevitable issues stemming from having norms that many people with various personality social disorders in the same space would cause. I was, of course, ignored, but thankfully there haven't been as many issues as I thought there would be, though that may be because my roommate a handful of others tend to run interference. God knows he has to for me, I'm one of the highest functioning Aspies there. *snickers* It's also a running joke that we should have called it "Club Oooh Shiny!" |
MJ 5/2/10 . chapter 1 I love it. It is so true!
An Aspie |
Kateribird 3/4/10 . chapter 1 I can picture all of this perfectly. Oh goodness. I'm not sure Kirk would be annoyed by Scotty's rambling, though. I think he more would've shaken his head and smiled and been like, "Oh, Scotty... One of a kind." But that's funny about that pen clicking. I used to take them apart, too. I got really good at putting them back together. Rofl. |
evercharmer 5/9/09 . chapter 1That was remotely saddening.
And you have Asperger's? I'm not normally one to solicit information, but surely you know the symptoms. My mom and I are currently looking into it because of my little brother. I'm the one that started her getting information on it, and I think if I keep the information coming at her she'll continue to look into it. |
anonymous 5/6/09 . chapter 1 Great story, very interesting and props for slipping yourself in there! My cousin has aspergers and the little meetings they had in her district were so dull she stopped going after two get-togethers. Again excellent story!
P.S. Don't mind the troll, you'll notice that he/she is the same person and apparently has nothing better to do than harass people on the internet. You'll also notice that he/she favorited your story on two of those accounts so apparently they have such a juvenile mentality that they don't know how to express their appreciation of a fanfic in any other way. |
