awesome story! i love! i have only read the first two books in the temeraire series, but i'm scared by the thought that Laurence and Tameraire get banished...guess i'll just have to read the book and find out =D

Though I think that the Emily/Laurence pairing is a bit..well, age-challenged and not my cup of tea, I'm impressed. I liked your story a lot. I think you did a good job of portraying Temeraire--always inquisitive--as well as the exhilaration of the victory. When I read Jane Roland's letter I simply started laughing...well done! Keep writing.

*snickers* I'm sorry to see that it ended so abruptly, but I did thoroughly enjoy this story. Temeraire made this chapter even better especially with his exchange about Jacobs:
“Oh for heaven’s sake, Jacobs, close your mouth or moths will fly in!”
“Well, perhaps he does have a liking for moths,” Temeraire suggested. “Though I do not see why, a roast cow is much more delicious…”
I could totally see him saying that!
And the last line...perfect. :) I can't wait to see an 'alternate sequel'; I'll be putting you on Author Alert for sure! Great job!
