This was kind of happy, but also very bitter, in a sad, resigned sort of way. The scene between Bulma and Yamchua on Trunks's 16th birthday especially made me feel sad. I've never paid too much attention to Yamchua, simply because he really is a second string character. I just never quite realized that he's *always* been forced into the role of second string, in everything that was ever really important to him. I like how, with Trunks, Marron and little Laise, Yamchua finally gets to be someone important, although that he's too old to be her godfather still makes me feel bitter. Overall, a great portrayal of an often overlooked character.

this is a sweet nice story about yamcha role in trunks life. i'm very pleased. it was mature but then again i dunno much about ur other stories. :)

Like all your DBZ stories, this one's unique - with respect to the characters. Though I think Trunks is closer to Vegeta than he is to Yamcha, I enjoyed the story. Good job.
