Oh, bless you, I needed some BigBrother!Dean and good h/c before the season finale airs tomorrow. Season 4 is awesome, but the episodes rip your heart out at the same time.

This was excellent. And even more heartwrenching with the current state the Winchester boys are now in. I think I speak for more then just myself when I say that I deeply miss the bond the brothers used to so manifestedly possess. At least Kripke's preserved its glory in a wad of season 1, 2 and 3 memorabilia. Well-written and deeply moving fiction like this helps as well ;). Ten out of ten.

Just loved this tag to Heart, so awesome and so brotherly and so needed after what we are seeing on Season 4.
Fantastic Dean just being there for Sam, knowing no words can take away the pain his brother is going through and loved how he gently broke down Sam's barriers and got him to release his emotions. All Sam needed was Dean's physical presence, the comfort and security his brother provided and his quiet words of affirmation that he was going nowhere.
Perfect Dean's gentle brotherly jibes at the end, typical Dean but without his usual sarcasm and tucking Sam up in bed for some much needed rest. And also loved how Dean finally let Sam know that him just being there after their dad died helped him immensely.
Great writing, definitely a favourite.
