I want to say that you are an evil author for killing Mariette that way, but...the ending more than made up for it. At the close of the chapter I found that I wanted the story to continue so that I could watch Mariette grow again and I was more than a little curious to know if Keiki and Mariette would fall in love again. If you do a sequel I'll definetly be reading it. Even a one shot would be nice.

On another note, I noticed that there were a lot of gramatical errors and the details were a little sparse when you were describing a scene, but you described the emotions and the features of each character well. When I say "evil" I use the term loosely in that it made me sad that she died and in that moment I heartily disliked the author. Any author that can make readers that fond of a particular character is really good.
