AWESOME! (and not just because my band goes to FBA too... because we live in Florida...)

YEAH SCOTTISH PEOPLE! FREEEEEEEDOM! We have a Scottish theme too - the Governor Livingston Highlander Band. Our uniform consists of: black marching shoes, knee socks, flashes (little red ribbons on the outside of our socks), spats (if we've been good little bandies), kilt, sporan (the crotch, cream-and-black hairy thing), kilt jacket (too many buttons! X_X), nice big silver belt, plaid (pronounced "plade", thing sort of like a cape on one shoulder, consisting of miles of plaid wool fabric), epaulette (aka shoulder blade), and Glen Gary (a black wool thing kind of like the paper hats in delis with a little pompom and streamers in the back). And to top it all off, yes, we have BAGPIPERS! 9 this year and hopefully 13 next year! (They play the pipes for one song, then put them down and pick up their regular instruments for the rest of the show.) We have 65 marchers too, so that's a lot of pipes.
