This. This is awesome. I had sworn off of post series fic until I saw this, and that's no lie. You capture Kraehe's insanity and Fakir's grim determination so well. Fakir seems to tread a line between accepting that they will all die before long, and still going out nightly to prevent this. I think a lot of people who write in this fandom forget how strong he is.

Autor's character fascinates me a lot in this as well. In spite of his animosity toward Fakir, he promises Kraehe that they will kill him 'someday' scant hours after he's spoken to Fakir in person.

I'm looking forward to more of this.
