What an awesome idea! You definitely deserve more reviews for this. I like the character you've created with Ida, and the little religious references that colour her narrative; my favourite bit was the last few paragraphs where she imagined them in various different settings; still gambling, still indomitable. I would love to see a sequel where, eventually, they come back to Spain with Chel and Ida catches a glimpse of them after all this time, and what her thoughts on them might be :D

Aw wow such a lovely view on the two! I have to admit, I'd never thought of El Dorado fanfic until I saw this one on the Just In list. It's a nice idea, you described those two perfectly. I love it!
