Just realizing I never did review this. Well, I did when you posted it on F4F, but not here. Anyway, thought I'd leave a word telling you again how much I like it. The whole story is great, but the part that has always stuck out in my mind is the end scene. Max returns to Logan and realizes how much she loves him; Logan lets her know how much he loves her with just that one line. By the way, that one line still makes me weak in the knees. The image of Logan just out of bed isn't bad, either. ;) Thanks for posting this.

I love this! Wow, you're good at everything you write :) The mention of Ben was good. And I like the realistic approach you took to the situation...showing that Zack and Tinga might actually have ended up better off without Max. Because, truly, there would be pros and cons to a world without Max. And a lot of people have written this type of story and pictured Logan dying, but I've never seen this scenario being given...where Max's break-in actually interrupted an early assassination attempt by Bruno. Cool idea...totally unexpected. Great job! And funny, too :) Thanks for writing this.

I have one nitpick. Couldn't ya have gotten rid of the virus too? I mean it was reallt TWEET, but i WANT SMOOCHIES! OK so it wasn't the point of this story, and overall it was 99% perfect!

I loved everything about this story beginning with the way you introduced It's a Wonderful Life by having Max actually see it and compare it to her own life. Her confidence that she could easily outwit a second rate angel is perfectly Max. And of course Max's own angel had just the right amout of disarming second ratedness. Their little discussion about Max's fantasies added just the right touch of humour to a potentially heavy story. I also like the fact that Max was allowed to choose where she would go. It's very interesting that she had second thoughts about destroying Manticore and subjecting the transgenics to the outside world. I also like the fact that one scenario hadn't turned out totally badly 'yet'. In reality there are some things that might turn out better if we're not there to affect them. But it is the overall picture that we and Max need to be able to see. You've done a great job showing that with Logan. All of us tend to focus on the shooting and Max's refusal to help being the cusp moment of Logan's life but who would have thought that if Max hadn't broken in Logan wouldn't even have made it to the shooting. It's so true that the little things we don't realize we have done can have the hugest influence on other people's lives. You've done a great job capturing the contrast between Max's emotions and the words that come out of her mouth. "Sorry, no bag of presents." is so typical of what Max would say when she is feeling a strong rush of love for Logan. Logan's soft "You're my present" is a beautiful confirmation of the lesson she just learned. This was a wonderful heartwarming story. Thanks for really capturing the spirit of Christmas in this one.
