You capture it very well.

However, I think I have to agree with christy that Gordo and Kate would NEVER happen. I've never thought about pairing Kate with someone, but now that you've raised the question, it's got me wondering who it might be. I'll have to give it some thought.

In the meantime, please write some more like this! Only put Gordo with someone else. K?

Hey! Nice stuff here! Chock full of insightful little bits that made me smile. And you caught the atmosphere of the club very well.

I especially liked the bit about all the guys in high school being jealous of Gordo's friendship with the blonde and the brunette, even tho "They'd call him names and question his sexuality." And Kate's explanation of "I can read people like that. It's one of those things you learn when you realize long ago that your friends might not be your friends," -Wow. Good observation about Kate!

One thing , tho: I'm not sure if I really believe Gordo and Kate would *ever* really get together (that's probably the *least* likely pairing in LMFF, as far as I'm concerned) but if you like that kind of thing, and if they ever would get together, it would have to play out in a story like this.

Now, I do take exception to your assumption that someone named "Chrissy" would necessarily be a bimbo with a low IQ. I'm sure you meant it mostly for comedy, and that you know that there is not, in fact, any scientific or sociological correlation between name and IQ. But it plays well in the story.

I say Bravo. Nice to read something new and short and sweet. Hope you'll continue to write more LM FF!
