Dark Naruto 2009-05-23 . chapter 1I believe that Lelouch is still alive. For one, he might have gotten the Code from his father, Charles Vi Britannia. In turn 21 if I'm not mistaken, Charles had strangled Lelouch. Charles' CODE was on his hand, so it is very possible that it had transferred to Lelouch. Lelouch and C.C. both did not know or confirmed whether Lelouch had the code because the CODE is only activated once the person had died once, for example when Charles had killed himself under Lelouch's Geass. That's why C.C. was crying for Lelouch, because they weren't certain if the code was really transferred to Lelouch or not. C.C. believed that Lelouch didn't have the code.
However, when Lelouch fell beside Nunnaly after being stabbed by 'Zero', he was already dead, and the CODE activated, that's how Nunnaly could see the images and memories about Lelouch and Suzaku's plot of Zero Requiem. Otherwise it would not make any sense as to how she actually found out about Zero Requiem. And then Lelouch was revived, but he still felt weak and played dead to follow his plan. After everything had ended, Lelouch went on travel with C.C. because frankly, only C.C. could really understand him and stay by his side forever, seeing as how they are both immortals now.
And when you said that C.C. and Lelouch would actually stick to each other and stay side by side, well, in the anime, though C.C. always followed him and stayed with him, she was the type that would relax while Lelouch does the work. In this case, while Lelouch drove the cart, C.C. would relax onboard the car. It still shows that they're still together though cause they ARE travelling together.
And regarding the geass, since Lelouch had really taken the CODE from his father, and not from C.C., his geass remains since C.C. is still alive. anyway, if you're not satisfied with that, the code that he received from Charles still havent activate yet when Lelouch became the emperor, therefore he still have his geass. this means that Lelouch had both the CODE and the GEASS, thus accomplishing CODE GEASS.
and the last part of the cart, if you watched the scene closely, the pink crane origami was situated somewhere right above the cart driver, and when C.C. was lying on the cart, the origami crane was above her head. So maybe instead of looking up at the sky, she was just tilting her head upwards towards where Lelouch was, at the front of the cart. try and check that part again. |
rultas 2009-05-20 . chapter 1I agree with MisterSP, although it would be hard to make and R3 since everyone is living peacefully now. I still believe he's alive, but believe what you want, it's my opinion.
I remember reading somewhere that a person said that C.C. was crying because being immortal is considered a punishment for her and she didn't want Lelouch to suffer.
Of course the writers said he was dead. It may be that they were talking about Lelouch vi Britannia but L. Lamperouge might be alive or vice versa. The Shirley part made me laugh though, it's nice to see that you still want her alive! |
Crazy Iemon 2009-05-18 . chapter 1I agree, Lelouch is dead. However, I believe the creators purposely left the ending ambiguous, so if they ever made an R3, they could easily revive Lelouch and said he was never dead in the first place (which I pray to God they don't since R2 was an embarrassment to the first season) |
Franchise 2009-05-18 . chapter 1Hooray for Shirley living, that is if one can really count being C.C's slave as living. This was a great laugh man. |
MisterSP 2009-05-17 . chapter 1What you say does make a certain amount of sense. Except, if it's not Lelouch and it's not Kallen or Jeremiah or Suzaku, then who the hell could it be, and why are they hiding their face? You've solved it by making it a character who is even less likely to be there. And why would C.C. be relaxing while Lelouch is working? Because that's what they've always done. C.C. is always just along for the ride.
As for Code, Charle's Code doesn't seem to activate until he dies later on, since at that point, he suddenly becomes essentially immune to bullets, when he was killed by one only moments before. Problem is, he doesn't use his Geass in between killing V.V. and being ressurected, so the evidence is iffy.
C.C. is crying the church because if Lelouch DID have his Father's code, there was no obvious indication of it occurring, and I doubt they tested it. Also, it fits Lelouch's karma. All those times trying to throw himself to the lions, and coming out practically unscathed? It's even possible that C.C. forced her Code onto Lelouch, to force him to live. Both his dying and forcing him to live would probably upset her equally, considering her life experiences.
Besides, the ending is intended to be vague like that, just like the post credits scenes in many movies, it's there for vague foreshadowing. Yes, it's enough of an ending to say it's finished, but it's a handy little nibble for all the fanfic writers if the producers don't bother for a season 3 or somesuch down the road. |
 anothvortex 2009-05-17 . chapter 1BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Holy Hell! The sick thing is I can actually see C.C. DOING that! Kudos for resurecting Shirley, by the way; I felt like she got kind of a bad rap near the end there. Thanks a lot for your excellent writing, and I eagerly await your next work! |
silverspetz 2009-05-17 . chapter 1Well this is funny as hell and all but I would rather see you working on "the humane hollow" or "dream of the king".
As for Leleuch, some people think that he has his fathers code and that the code needs to be "activated" through a first death to take effect. I kind of hope that this is true but it doesnt really matter. If he is alive then he can watch over the world he has created from the sidelines and he will live happily with CC but he will still be forced to watch his remaining friend grow old and die as a punishment for his crimes (I hope this is true because CC really doesnt deserve to be alone anymore).
On the other hand if he really is dead then that is fine as well since it will make him into a messiah who died for others to be happy. It will also prove that he says true to his words: "the only ones who should shoot are the ones who are prepared to be shot".
I dont really care about the whole "the writers says he is dead"-argument. If they didnt want people to think he was alive then they shouldnt have made left the ending so open. In my opinion they dont have a say in this matter since they made an ending like that. Also, they said that Leleuch Vii Brittania was dead but that can mean a lot of things depending on how you look at it. For example, Leleuch Vii Brittania the evil emperor who Leleuch pretended to be is dead but Leleuch Lamperouge could still be alive or something like that.
Of course, these are just my arguments. I really have no proof whatsoever and the thing I liked best about the ending was that it was open enough to let everyone have their own theories and not ruling out any possibillities. |
CH316 2009-05-17 . chapter 1Nice short. I feel a little sorry for Shirley, but at least she lived.
I'm pretty sure the creators stated that Lelouch was dead, though they said that Lelouch Vi Britannia was dead. That could always imply he would live out the rest of his life as Lelouch Lamperouge. It doesn't matter either way as there isn't going to be another season as far as I know. Still I like the idea of Lelouch waking up on an examining table going 'WTF'. |
One Sided Pancake 2009-05-17 . chapter 1Aha! I like your story. Although I do not believe that Lelouch is alive (The creators said it themselves T~T ) I like this story very much, as it makes me wish that this is what actually happened! Very funny! xD |
All That Is Left Unsaid 2009-05-17 . chapter 1Oh my goodness this was hilarious! The amnesiac slave-Shirley nearly sent me out of my chair in a fit of laughter. Now all you need is an amnesiac slave-kallen (must...supress...inner...fanboy!) to complete the set for the Big Three.
However, I can do you one better as far as proving he's dead: The creators themselves have stated Lelouch DID die at the end, and it has also been mentioned in several side materials, such as a 'Death List' and Lelouch's poset series character profile. Thus, as TV Tropes would say: "Word of God" tells us that Lelouch is dead.
This reminded me of a comic style cross over ending someone did for Code Geass, School Days, and Spice and Wolf. Basically, C.C. was talking to Lelouch's head, which she keeps with her in that bag (the School Days reference), and the image then cuts to the distance view of the cart with a caption "In the field, the two meet. Seven apples on the witch's tree." which is a parody of a line in the titeles of both the School Days, and the Spice and Wolf series. |
Murasaki Tsukimaru 2009-05-17 . chapter 1True. People just tend to be hopeless romantics at heart. It happens. He most likely is dead. And it is interesting to see how those 2 evolved together and individually. |
Anime-StarWars-fan-zach 2009-05-17 . chapter 1Hehe, this was great. I disagree with you, but it was pretty funny. Poor, poor Shirley. |
