Can I just say that I continue to love this story with a mad, mad love? It's so cool how Dualarc's experiences shed light on what D's early life might, just might, have been like.

The narrative flows very freely and easily, making this a pleasure to read. An interesting plot certainly doesn't hurt -- the dimension shift is a nice breath of fresh air compared to the typical werewolf infested castle crumbling as the evil overlord falls at last to D's blade. I have to agree with Dualarc on his perception of D most of the time -- he really must be ingratiating to travel with, something that many writers seem to forget in the rapture of describing how gorgeous he is. Please please keep this one going. :)

I know this is my second review in a day, but what the hell, this fic should have more reviews, anyway. Great stuff, best VHD fic I've read in ages, and I really hope you'll keep writing it. I love how it deals with some of the factoids from the novels in an (IMO) more effective and realistic way, and Dualarc is so very much fun.

I'm really impressed with this so far. You have a very engaging writing style, and it's entertaining to see D from the point of view of someone who isn't solely massively impressed with his awesomeness.
