I can totally see John testing whether they'd made their beds properly by trying to bounce a quarter off them. Good one!

Definitely raised to be soldiers. Even on leave you never know when there's gonna be a fight. I really enjoyed this look into their training and childhood.

I can see John demanding just that sort of strict sense of order in his training. I liked it alot, it paints a very stark picture.
